Dear Covert Public Schools Parents, Staff, and Community Members:
In order to help with the mitigation of COVID-19, Covert Public Schools will be 100% virtual the week of January 4th through January 8th. Our goal is to return to face-to-face learning on Monday, January 11th including high school students. The current order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has suspended all in-person instruction for high school until Sunday, December 20th. We will closely monitor any updates and keep you informed via SchoolMessenger, FaceBook, and our website..
Please keep in mind that our teachers have been working very hard connecting with both virtual and face-to-face students. We encourage students to complete schoolwork over the break, however, teachers will not be available until January 4th. Remind students to keep up with the daily work of each class so they do not find themselves in a situation where they are completing multiple assignments.
The end of the first semester is on January 22nd. Virtual students should stay connected with teachers on their google classroom and email to make sure they are caught up with assignments and have completed the necessary assessments. High school students that do not receive credit WILL need to retake the class.
We ask that you stay safe during this holiday season and follow recommendations from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Bulldog Strong!
